We use elements such as Graphic Design, Animation and Interactivity to convert paper based materials into engaging multi-media systems that increase the value of your materials for distribution on CD-Rom or the Internet.

In 2002 Digital Routes operationally merged with Data Converters, a multi-media company which specialised in providing elearning assets and document management solutions for educational and training establishments in addition to web and graphic design services.

Their range of clients covered the length and breadth of the UK and also included some European countries and Hong Kong too! Over 100 courses have been adapted for the Intranet, Internet and CD-ROM. Whilst the majority of Digital Routes projects involve website design and development, we do still create interactive e-Learning projects when required. Details of some of the more recent ones are:

South Glasgow University Hospitals NHS Trust & Nutricia Clinical Care

We have recently completed "Nutritional Screening is a 'MUST', developed for online or offline use. It has interactivity, quizzes, illustrations, charts, animations and many interactive flash elements to engage the user while demonstrating the key concepts involved when diagnosing malnutrition.

Both partners are delighted with the finished result and we are confident of 'word of mouth' recommendations.

Aberdeen College Project

Recently we developed a system of elearning materials for Aberdeen College, comprising of Intermediate 1 level courses in Numeracy, IT, Sociology, Psychology, First Aid, Local Investigations and Problem Solving.

The courses support multiple users and feature Interactive Assessments, Automated Marking Schemes and sophisticated Flash Animation, whilst remaining flexible and portable enough to be deployed on a CD Rom, Web Server or Learning Management System.

The project was completed within a tight schedule to comply with European Social Fund Support.

Microsoft Class Server Partnership

Data Converters are an official content partner for Microsoft Class Server. Class Server is the foundation for a complete, easy-to-use solution for curriculum and classroom management. It enables teachers to focus on helping students meet and surpass the highest educational standards. Data Converters Ltd provide a comprehensive service for producing learning resources that will integrate seamlessly with Microsoft Class Server.

We can also create completely new resources for this Learning Management System. All resources can be tagged and classified according to the National Curriculum and National Teaching Frameworks in the UK. The teacher selects the resource according to the desired part of the National Curriculum. The pupil sees what the teacher has selected for him or her, in the classroom or at home.

We have also worked with other Learning Management Systems like WebCT and BlackBoard.
